Voyage Through the Balkans with Prague

Day 1: Arrive Prague

Be met on arrival and transfer to your hotel. This evening, get to know your fellow travellers and Tour Director during tonight’s welcome reception.

Day 2: Prague

The capital of the Czech Republic lures you with its millennia-long history. Begin your guided discovery at Prague Castle, where you’ll pause to take in views of the city. Take a leisurely stroll over Charles Bridge on the way to the Old Town Square, where you’ll see the 600-year-old Astronomical Clock. Tonight, dinner awaits at the Alcron restaurant, known for its use of local Czech produce.

Day 3: Prague

Today is set aside for your special experience, and the evening is then yours to relax or further explore.

Day 4: Prague, Velke Bilovice, Budapest, Embark Ship

Travel to Velke Bilovice for a light lunch in a traditional Czech restaurant. Continue to the historic Hungarian capital of Budapest and board your luxury river ship.

Day 5: Budapest

Enjoy a morning city tour of Budapest taking in its historic monuments, including Fisherman’s Bastion and Heroes’ Square. The afternoon is at leisure to further explore.

Day 6: Mohacs

You have the choice as to how you spend your day.

Day 7: Vukovar

Bearing battle scars from the Croatian War of Independence, Vukovar has risen strong and offers a rich history to discover. Enjoy a Signature Experience here.

Day 8: Belgrade

In Serbia’s capital, choose your activity.

Day 9: Iron Gates

Cruise through the Iron Gates and experience one of the most awe-inspiring natural wonders you will encounter on this cruise. Your ship will ribbon its way through the series of gorges between Serbia and Romania.

Day 10: Rousse

Choose how to spend your day in and around charming Rousse today.

Day 11: Giurgiu, Bucharest

With an entire day in Bucharest, take in the wide tree-lined boulevards and Belle Epoque buildings, then walk through the Old City centre to the Royal Court, Stavropoleos Church and the Lipscani district. After lunch, choose your activity.

Day 12: Rousse, Veliko Tarnovo

In Veliko Tarnovo, a local expert will guide you through this medieval city. Uncover its rich history as you wander through the city’s cobbled lanes and fortified walls. Its centrepiece is the spectacular restored Tsarevets Fortress, citadel of the Second Bulgarian Empire.

Day 13: Vidin, Belogradchik

Explore Baba Vida Fortress in Vidin. Raised upon the remains of the ancient town of Bononia, the medieval castle dates back to the 10th century. Afterwards, venture to Belogradchik to uncover its ancient fortress on the northern slope of the Balkan Mountains. You’ll also see the town’s unique rock formations.

Day 14: Scenic Cruising

The day is yours to relax on board, sleep in and take it easy, or awake early and take in stunning views from the Sun Deck.

Day 15: Novi Sad

Choose how you’d like to spend the day.

Day 16: Kalocsa, Puszta

Enjoy a Signature Experience today. Afterwards, a farm in Puszta is the perfect setting for a stellar horse show and authentic Hungarian lunch.

Day 17: Budapest

Today unfolds as you please. This evening, enjoy a farewell dinner.

Day 18: Disembark Ship, Depart Budapest

Say your farewells, disembark your ship and be transferred to the airport.
