Tour Itinerary:

Day 1: Athens, Greece

Arrive in Athens, the historic capital of Greece and birthplace of democracy. Spend the day exploring independently before joining your fellow travellers for a welcome dinner.

Day 2: Athens

Discover the highlights of Athens on a panoramic city tour, including the Temple of Zeus, Parliament House and the Olympic Stadium. Continue to the Acropolis to admire the Parthenon and uncover the fascinating history of ancient Athens.

Day 3: Athens – Thermopylae – Kalambaka

Travel through central Greece to Thermopylae and visit the monument dedicated to King Leonidas. Continue to Kalambaka and enjoy dinner at a family-owned taverna featuring traditional recipes passed down through generations.

Day 4: Kalambaka – Metéora – Arachova

Visit two of the remarkable Byzantine monasteries of Metéora, dramatically perched atop towering limestone formations. Afterwards, travel to the mountain town of Arachova, surrounded by scenic valleys and rugged landscapes.

Day 5: Arachova – Delphi – Olympia

Explore the ancient archaeological site of Delphi with a local expert, including the Sanctuary of Apollo, ancient theatre and Delphi Museum. Continue to Olympia and experience traditional Greek music and dance during an interactive cultural class.

Day 6: Olympia

Tour ancient Olympia, birthplace of the Olympic Games, including the Sanctuary of Zeus, Olympic Stadium and museum. Visit a local farm for tastings of regional wine, olive oil, jams and traditional sweets, followed by a Mediterranean cooking experience and Greek dinner.

Day 7: Olympia – Tolo

Journey through the scenic Arkadian Mountains towards the seaside town of Tolo. Along the way, visit a family-owned distillery that has produced traditional Greek ouzo since 1869.

Day 8: Tolo – Nafplio – Tolo

Choose between a guided visit to ancient Mycenae, featuring the Lion Gate and Beehive Tombs, or a walking tour of elegant Nafplio, Greece’s first capital and a charming blend of Venetian and neoclassical architecture.

Day 9: Tolo – Piraeus – Aegina Island – Athens

Travel towards Piraeus with views of the Corinth Canal before taking the ferry to Aegina Island. Enjoy free time to explore the island’s markets, waterfront and archaeological sites before returning to Athens after a farewell lunch.

Day 10: Athens

Your tour concludes today after breakfast.
