Itinerary:

Day 1: Friday - PERTH

You’ll be met on arrival at Perth Airport and transferred to your hotel. The remainder of the day is free to explore Perth at your leisure.

Overnight: InterContinental Perth City Centre – Classic King Room

Day 2: Saturday - ROTTNEST ISLAND (B,L)

Enjoy breakfast and then get ready for the ultimate beach escape. You will be collected from your hotel from 9am and transferred to Swan River Seaplanes at South Perth, where you’ll be welcomed with a glass of sparkling wine at check-in. Experience the exhilarating feeling of a water take-off as you take to the skies and soar above the city on the 20 minute flight to Rottnest Island. On arrival, there’s free time to enjoy the island and a welcome cocktail, before a delicious multi-course chef’s selection lunch at Lontara, Rottnest’s premier waterfront restaurant. A glass of wine or beer is included (additional beverages at your own expense).

Your return flight to Perth arrives late afternoon and you will be transferred to your hotel.

Day 3: Sunday - PERTH (B)

Enjoy a leisurely breakfast with the day free to explore Perth and surrounds at your own pace. Perhaps head to nearby Kings Park or to Fremantle and check out the many craft breweries and restaurants.

Day 4: Monday - PERTH TO YALLINGUP (B)

Enjoy breakfast and then walk the short distance to the Avis office at 960 Hay Street, to collect your hire car for the drive to Margaret River.  On the way to Yallingup, take time to stop at Busselton and walk along the longest timber-piled jetty in the Southern Hemisphere.  Then check out some of the region’s beautiful beaches including Bunker Bay, Smiths Beach and Injidup Beach, before arriving at Cape Lodge. This afternoon, enjoy the signature high-tea experience in the Lakeside Lounge at Cape Lodge. Immerse yourself in the natural surroundings and relish the sweet and savoury treats, served with a selection of infused teas and coffee.

Day 5: Tuesday - MARGARET RIVER REGION (B,D)

Today is free to explore the beautiful Margaret River region at your leisure. Late afternoon, join the resident sommelier for an intimate wine tasting experience. Journey through the ‘Cabernet’ sub-region of the Margaret River and surrounds, as you sip and swirl through a curated collection of local producers, from Domaine Naturaliste, to Glenmore, Flowstone and Nocturne. Enjoy a pre-dinner drink and then partake in a three-course set menu dinner (beverages not included), at the coveted Cape Lodge restaurant. The ingredient-driven menu is seasonally curated, using the finest produce from the on-site kitchen garden and neighbouring farms.

Day 6: Wednesday - VASSE FELIX EPICUREAN EXPERIENCE (B,L)

Today, enjoy the ultimate vine to table tour, with a rare opportunity to explore behind the scenes, at Vasse Felix. Make your own way to Vasse Felix Winery and, beginning in the region’s oldest vineyard, learn how Vasse Felix grows fruit in the most sustainable way. Pass by Margaret River’s original Cabernet vines before you go behind the scenes with exclusive access to the Vasse Felix winery. Explore the barrel hall and world of artful and innovative winemaking, and then join your host for a private tasting of the Vasse Felix wine collection. Next, the chef’s five course tasting menu, paired with rare Vasse Felix Icon wines, brings your full Margaret River gastronomy experience together. Relax and while away the hours with mind-blowing interpretations of incredible local produce, uncovering the chef’s philosophies of wine and food pairing along the journey. Return to Cape Lodge at your leisure.

Day 7: Thursday - YALLINGUP TO PERTH (B)

As the saying goes, all good things must come to an end. Enjoy a final breakfast before making your way back to Perth and returning your hire car at either Perth Airport or the Perth City Avis office by 5pm.
