Day 2 – Amman – Petra
Begin with a morning tour of Amman before enjoying lunch at a local restaurant. Sample a selection of meze—small sharing plates showcasing the flavours of the Levant. This afternoon, travel approximately four hours through Jordan’s rocky landscapes to Petra, the famous “Rose Red City.” Tonight, meet your fellow travellers over a welcome dinner at your hotel.

Day 3 – Petra
Set out at daybreak for a guided exploration of Petra, discovering the remarkable monuments carved into its sandstone cliffs. The afternoon is yours to continue exploring independently or return to your hotel to relax.

Special Experience: Join an Arabic cooking class in a local home. Hear about Bedouin traditions and the evolving role of women in Jordan as your host introduces local ingredients and recipes. Share the dishes you have prepared over a family-style dinner.

Day 4 – Petra – Madaba – Mount Nebo – Dead Sea
Travel towards the Jordan Valley, stopping in Madaba to see its sixth-century mosaic map of the Holy Land. Enjoy a home-hosted lunch in a local community, experiencing Jordanian hospitality and home cooking. This afternoon, visit Mount Nebo for views across the landscape traditionally associated with the Promised Land. Continue to your Dead Sea hotel for a two-night stay, with direct access to the water.

Day 5 – Dead Sea
Choose how to spend your morning: visit Bethany Beyond the Jordan, the UNESCO World Heritage site traditionally recognised as the place where John the Baptist baptised Jesus, or enjoy a leisurely morning at your hotel’s private beach and experience the buoyant waters of the Dead Sea. The afternoon is free to relax before dinner at your hotel.

Day 6 – Dead Sea – Fly to Cairo, Egypt
Depart before dawn and farewell your Jordanian Tour Manager before your flight to Cairo. Upon arrival, meet your Egyptian Tour Manager, who will accompany you for the remainder of your journey. Transfer to your hotel for a two-night stay.

Day 7 – Cairo – Pyramids of Giza
Travel to Giza to encounter Egypt’s legendary pyramids and the Great Sphinx. See these extraordinary ancient monuments up close and discover their history with your guide. Return to your hotel in the late afternoon.

Day 8 – Cairo – Fly to Luxor – Board Your Nile Cruise
An early departure takes you to the airport for your flight to Luxor. Explore the vast Karnak Temple complex, where towering columns, pylons and obelisks reveal the grandeur of ancient Egypt. Board your ship for a four-night Nile cruise. Enjoy lunch on board, followed by a free afternoon to relax and take in the views from the sundeck.

Day 9 – Luxor – Valley of the Kings – Sail Towards Edfu
At dawn, cross to Luxor’s West Bank to explore the Valley of the Kings, including visits to the tombs of Tutankhamun and Ramses VI. Continue to the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut and the imposing Colossi of Memnon. Return to your ship for a late lunch before sailing towards Edfu, watching riverside farms and villages pass by.

Day 10 – Edfu – Kom Ombo – Sail to Aswan
Choose an early guided visit to the Temple of Horus in Edfu, followed by a late breakfast on board, or enjoy a relaxed morning and breakfast aboard your ship. This afternoon, sail to Kom Ombo and visit its unusual double temple before continuing towards Aswan.

Special Experience: This evening, join a festive galabeya party on board, celebrating in traditional Egyptian dress.

Day 11 – Aswan
Travel by motorboat to the island setting of Philae Temple, relocated to protect it from rising waters following the construction of the Aswan High Dam. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure to explore Aswan independently or relax aboard your ship. This evening, take a felucca ride on the Nile, enjoying views of the desert dunes from a traditional wooden sailboat before returning for dinner.
