Copenhagen
The largest city in Scandinavia, built on two islands, is a cozy metropolis that is often referred to as the "Paris of the North." Its winding streets, timbered houses and 12th-century castles evoke Copenhagen's past. Copenhagen is especially known for cafe culture and thrilling nightlife.

Skagen
A large, busy harbor doesn't dampen the charm of Skagen's older neighborhoods, which offer distinctive yellow houses, great museums, ceramic and glass art galleries, and bike rental outlets. Harbourside restaurants serve fish fresh off the boats. If you're used to Caribbean beaches, this will take some getting used to, but we bet Skagen's craggy charms will win you over.

Hardangerfjord
The Hardangerfjord is the fourth longest fjord in the world, and the second longest fjord in Norway. It is located in Hordaland county in the Hardanger region. The fjord stretches 179 kilometres from the Atlantic Ocean into the mountainous interior of Norway along the Hardangervidda plateau.

Skjolden
Soak up the enchanting natural landscapes in Skjolden, a village at the end of the emerald-green Lustrafjorden. This idyllic town lies at the edge of Sognefjorden, the largest fjord in Norway. Stroll around the tranquil village, home to about 200 people. Admire the rolling farms and the greenery. Youll see its no surprise this was a popular destination with Norwegian artists, who came here for inspiration in the 19th century. Visit the old Urnes Stave Church, a Viking Age church dating back to 1130 and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, 30 kilometers to the south. The narrow road there passes through idyllic villages its picturesque vistas earn it the name Romantic Route.

Olden
Situated along the innermost arm of the Nordfjord, this picturesque village of western Norway is surrounded by some of Scandinavia's most captivating scenery. Here lies the largest glacier in all of Europe, the Jostedal, towering nearly 6,200 feet.

Seydisfjordur
Seyoisfjorour is a town and municipality in the Eastern Region of Iceland at the innermost point of the fjord of the same name.

Akureyri
For a city of 18,000 residents, Akureyri packs a lively punch. Situated at the head of Eyjafjordur, Icelands longest fjord, the first thing youll notice is the backdrop of dramatic snow-covered mountains. Take a stroll through the Old Town and admire the 19th-century turf houses. Sample some authentic Icelandic cuisine, or warm up in the steaming Akureyri Thermal Pool. Around the corner, youll find Akureyris basalt church, Akureyrarkirkja, with its striking, futuristic facade. Iceland cruises give you access to stroll through Lystigardurinn, the northernmost botanical garden in the world, and breathe in the fresh air and the scent of wild arctic flowers.

Isafjordur
Ísafjörður is a town in the Westfjords region of northwest Iceland. Its known for its dramatic landscapes. The old town has wooden houses with corrugated tin roofs built by fishing merchants in the 18th and 19th centuries. The Westfjords Heritage Museum has exhibits on the town's maritime history, including a collection of old fishing boats. The old hospital, now a cultural center, contains archives and photography.

Reykjavik
Reykjavik is the beating heart of Iceland. The city was founded in 1786, but its also the site of Icelands first permanent settlement, dating back to 874 AD. Check out the Settlement Exhibition, a combination archaeological ruin and museum based around a 10th-century longhouse, where interactive technology and archaeology reveal historical Iceland. The church Hallgrimskirkja dominates the skyline ? admire its distinctive Expressionist-style architecture designed to mirror the nearby mountains and glaciers during your Iceland cruise. Need relaxation of the highest order? Take the sub-hour drive to the world-famous Blue Lagoon, a geothermal spa surrounded by volcanic vistas.
