Detailed Itinerary

Day 1 – Ho Chi Minh City > 9 Night Mekong Cruise
Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City and meet your Tour Director before transferring to My Tho to board Scenic Spirit. Enjoy a welcome lunch, cocktail reception and dinner on board before cruising along the Mekong River to Cai Be, where the ship will anchor overnight.

Day 2 – Cai Be
Explore Cai Be with a Scenic Freechoice experience. Visit Tan Phong Island by sampan to discover tropical fruit orchards, local cottage industries and traditional handicrafts, enjoy afternoon tea at the colonial Le Longanier restaurant with local entertainment, or join an onboard cocktail and mocktail making class. Return to the ship for lunch as you cruise towards Sa Dec.

Day 3 – Sa Dec
Travel by sampan to explore Sa Dec's bustling wet market and visit the former home of Huynh Thuy Le, the inspiration for Marguerite Duras' novel The Lover. Return to Scenic Spirit and enjoy a themed dinner accompanied by a traditional lion dance performance before sailing overnight to Tan Chau.

Day 4 – Tan Chau
Choose from three Scenic Freechoice experiences. Visit Tra Su Bird Sanctuary and cruise through its peaceful waterways, explore Evergreen Island and Tan Chau by xe loi with a visit to a colourful Cao Dai temple, or travel to Chau Doc to visit Tay An Temple and cruise along the Vinh Te Canal before returning to the ship.

Day 5 – Border Crossing > Phnom Penh
Spend the morning relaxing on board as Scenic Spirit crosses into Cambodia and sails towards Phnom Penh. On arrival, visit the magnificent Royal Palace and Silver Pagoda before experiencing Phnom Penh by night during an exclusive Scenic Sunset Drinks experience, including a private rum distillery tour and tasting.

Day 6 – Phnom Penh
Discover Cambodia's capital with a Scenic Freechoice excursion. Visit the Killing Fields and Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, enjoy a Cambodian cooking class with a local chef, or explore Phnom Penh's French colonial architecture, historic landmarks and Central Market by remork. This evening, enjoy a cultural performance by the Cambodian Student and Children's Organisation.

Day 7 – Phnom Penh > Oudong > Silk Island
Travel to Cambodia's former royal capital of Oudong to visit its peaceful monastery and experience local monastic life. Return to the ship before sailing to Silk Island, where you'll learn about the traditional silk weaving process. This evening, enjoy a Sundowner cocktail reception as Scenic Spirit departs for Angkor Ban.

Day 8 – Angkor Ban
Spend the morning cruising towards Angkor Ban with time to relax on board and learn the traditional ways to wear a Cambodian krama. This afternoon, explore the peaceful village of Angkor Ban, renowned for its century-old wooden houses that survived the Khmer Rouge era, before sailing towards Kampong Cham and Wat Hanchey.

Day 9 – Wat Hanchey > Kampong Cham
Visit the hilltop monastery of Wat Hanchey and enjoy panoramic views across the Mekong. During an exclusive Scenic Enrich experience, receive a traditional Buddhist blessing and participate in an alms ceremony with resident monks. Later, choose a Scenic Freechoice excursion to Phnom Pros and Wat Nokor Bachey, Kampong Cham and a local rubber plantation, or the rural village of Kho Penh.

Day 10 – Mekong Cruise > Siem Reap
Disembark Scenic Spirit and travel by coach to Siem Reap, stopping at Kampong Tom and the ancient Angkorian bridge at Kampong Kdei. After checking into your luxury hotel, enjoy premium reserved seating at the spectacular Cambodian Phare Circus performance.

Day 11 – Siem Reap
Choose from a range of Scenic Freechoice experiences, including Banteay Srei and the Landmine Museum, artisan workshops, a traditional village walk, Tonle Sap floating villages (seasonal), the Angkor Wildlife Aquarium, or a tethered balloon flight overlooking Angkor Wat. Day 12 – Siem Reap
Rise early for a Scenic Enrich sunrise experience at Angkor Wat, followed by a champagne breakfast prepared by a Scenic-supported NGO bakery school. Continue to Ta Prohm and Angkor Thom before enjoying free time this afternoon. Day 13 – Depart Siem Reap
