France's second largest city and largest port offers gorgeous coastline, the Provence sun and cosmopolitan charm. Remnants of its decorated 2,600-year history include a 19th-century basilica and cathedral and the Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde church. The city has several museums, including the Archaeology and Fine Arts museums.

Nice

The capital of the Côte d'Azur, and France's fifth largest city is well known for its Mediterranean beaches, casinos, and upper-class resort facilities along the famous Promenade des Anglais -a long boulevard along the famous Nice beaches. The old city Vieux Nice is richly blessed with fine art museums, including world-class collections of Matisse and Chagall.
