Alaska is so much more than its legends and myths. Boasting lively farmer’s markets, modern art galleries, and fine dining, 21st-century Alaska blends the old and the new, and urban life with the great outdoors in towns and cities surrounded by wilderness.
Journey through the wild terrain of Alaska with our Alaska cruises and discover the natural wonders that await as the rugged beauty of this pristine frontier unfolds. Set out on an unforgettable adventure where you’ll get up close and personal with 30-ton whales, zip-line through the rainforest with a visit to Mendenhall Glacier afterwards, or take flight high above the snow-capped lands and glaciers.
Itinerary Highlights;
Ketchikan is known as the rainiest town in southeast Alaska, and mist arrives from the nearby fjords and settles over the sleepy, wood creek town, making early mornings quiet and dewy – perfect for a peaceful kayak ride through the Misty Fjords or an adventurous hike up Deer Mountain. Afternoons are best spent taste-testing the many local restaurants before perusing the adorable galleries and shops in town.
A Russian settlement until the Alaska Purchase of 1867, Sitka’s Russian heritage is still very much rooted in the city. Visit St. Michael’s Russian Orthodox Cathedral for a pristine example of period architecture. Nestled on the coast of the Gulf of Alaska, there’s much natural beauty to explore on a Sitka cruise.
Take Mt. Roberts Tram up to hike through a rainforest (Juneau has more hiking trails than roads), go glacier trekking on Mendenhall Glacier in the Juneau ice field, whale watching in Auke Bay, helicopter up the glacier for dog sledding, or just explore Alaska’s second largest city.
For thousands of years, the Tlingit Indians have called this place home. Located near the city of Hoonah, and home to a historic cannery, Icy Strait Point also offers travelers the chance to view wildlife like humpback whales, orcas, seals, eagles, and brown bears, or to explore monuments to the region's fishing heritage.
Passage. This coastal waterway is filled with glacial mountains, lush pine forests, and unforgettable wildlife sightings. During the best Inside Passage cruise, the summertime sunshine offers plentiful photo opportunities. You might see orcas and humpback whales from your stateroom.
Named after Gardiner Hubbard, the founder of National Geographic, Hubbard Glacier is the longest tidewater glacier in the world (76 miles long and as tall as a 30-story building). Calving occurs on a daily basis here, so you’ll get to watch and hear as massive chunks of ice fall from the glacier.
Edging the Kenai Peninsula and framed by the glacier-covered Kenai Mountains that run along its southeastern spine, Seward is a rustic port town whose grand terrain will leave you breathless. Discover the wonder of the Kenai Peninsula on a Seward cruise.

REVOLUTIONIZED 2019
In February 2019, Celebrity Summit took part in Celebrity’s fleet-wide Revolution. Restaurants and lounges became more than just dining rooms and pass time areas. Staterooms became home away from home and guests’ personal sanctuaries. Celebrity Summit stopped being just a ship and became a better way to experience the world.
