Itinerary:

Day 1

After being greeted by Guide & Yogi, Jodie, leave the city behind and prepare for four days of bliss on this yoga retreat from Perth. Pop into the quirky Crooked Carrot Café & Farm in Myalup for morning tea with a twist. Before long, we arrive at heaven on earth, Meelup Beach. After a beachside picnic of fresh local produce, you are ready for the first yoga experience of the tour and OMG it is a great one!

Meet legendary local yogi and founder of Western Australia’s South West Yoga Fest – Heather Starr, for a session of SUP yoga. Yes, that means yoga on a stand-up paddleboard! After a beach introduction to the floating yoga studio, anchor down. With the sky above you, sea below, surrounded by nature, sun and salt, what could be more blissful?

Lots of laughs later and feeling energised, it’s time to embark on a 2-hour hike to Cape Naturalist. Part of Leeuwin-Naturalise National Park, this hike features incredible vistas and will have you in awe at every turn.

The pinnacle of the hike will be meeting local country custodian Josh “Koomal” Whiteland at the iconic Cape Naturaliste Lighthouse. Spend two hours with Josh to learn about the deep connection the Wadandi people have to the Cape to Cape region. At sunset, listen to the didgeridoo. The ancient meditative sounds welcome you to explore Wadandi Country.

Josh will prepare a delicious dinner of local produce caught, cooked and served right on the Cape, after which, we will take a short drive to Fair Harvest where the glamping tents will await. This unique property, located in the quiet, natural surroundings of a permaculture farm, features food gardens, a Farm Cafe, Yoga Barn and forest walks.

Fair Harvest has hot showers, toilets and an outdoor camp kitchen.

Day 2

We start the day with a gentle Yin Yoga session with Jodie, followed by a nutritious breakfast. Visit the eclectic Margaret River Markets to collect yummy local fresh produce for later. Then immerse yourself in the boundless natural beauty of the Cape to Cape Track on a four-hour hiking experience led by local healer, Dan. By using different healing modalities in combination with a physical return to country, the outcome is extraordinary.

After a beach picnic, return to Fair Harvest for an afternoon of relaxation and pampering.

Choose between two optional extras. Participate in a fantastic workshop with local company Frank and Scents to learn how to make natural perfume and natural body products. Or unwind with a Craniosacral Therapy & Sound Therapy massage from a local practitioner.

If these don’t take your fancy, however, then an afternoon of chill or taking a forest walk on the farm is always an option.

Tonight’s dinner will be prepared by the MasterChefs extraordinaire known as – you! But you’ll have some expert guidance. Local identity The Spice Mistress, Sarina, guides you through a Spice Masterclass. Prepare some flavoursome food whilst gaining a unique insight into the healing properties of spices.

Day 3

By now, you are feeling like a new and improved version of yourself. This morning, balance yourself during a Hatha Yoga session by the beach with sound mediation. If you have never experienced sound meditation, you will be blown away. Sound healing has ancient roots in cultures all over the world, including Indigenous tribes who have used the didgeridoo as a sound healing instrument for over 40,000 years.

Feeling zentastic, refuel with a nutritious picnic breakfast on the beach, and cool down with a dip in the crystal clear waters of the Indian Ocean.

Back at the farm, glam up for an afternoon of tantalising your taste buds around the Margaret River region. Enjoy a gourmet lunch of seed to plate organic produce catered by the Fair Harvest team. But leave some room for what awaits! Visit iconic vineyards for wine and cheese tastings.

Spend some time at the Margaret River Distilling Co. for a ‘tour and taste’ experience at Ginaversity. Sip on four flavours of gin with garnishes as you soak up the knowledge from passionate gin creator and Manager of the venue, Ben. Finally, indulge with a decadent chocolate cookie and coffee at Gabriel Chocolate, where they transform the humble raw cacao bean into delicate goodness.

Complete the day with the culmination of fresh local produce that we have collected along the way—celebrating health and new friendships on our last night together.

Day 4

After one last Vinyasa Yoga session in the Yoga Barn at Fair Harvest, have breakfast, pack your bag and farewell Margaret River. Two hours to the north is beautiful Serpentine National Park. Here you have the option of hiking 6 kilometres through Jarrahdale’s old-growth forest to see the incredible vistas from Baldwins Bluff. Or skip the hike and go directly to the refreshing waters of the falls, set in a naturally beautiful cleft at the foot of the escarpment.

Whatever way you choose to spend your last few hours of our yoga retreat from Perth, we will share one last picnic lunch together by the falls. Your spirit enriched, arrive back to Perth around 3 pm.

Namaste.
