DAY 01

DARWIN AND KATHERINE

From Darwin, take in the remarkable Top End views before stopping in Katherine for an afternoon of unique touring. Prepare to experience one of the region’s most impressive natural wonders near Katherine. The stunning Nitmiluk Gorge lies within the massive 292,000 hectares of the Nitmiluk National Park, and you’ll have the chance to explore it from the water with guided cruise options – an experience you’ll never forget.

DAY 02

ALICE SPRINGS

Next stop is Alice Springs, where more Off Train Excursions await. Explore Simpsons Gap, tour the town attractions, or get up close to some of the Red Centre’s native wildlife. Dinner on the train is followed by an extraordinary evening experience in the outback where you will see the Milky Way like you have never seen it before. Simply breathtaking.

DAY 03

ARRIVE ADELAIDE

From your cabin window this morning you’ll see a dramatic change in landscape, as the rich ochre tones of the outback make way for the green fields of South Australia. Enjoy a leisurely brunch as you pass through the majestic Flinders Ranges and prepare for your mid-morning arrival into Adelaide, completing one of the world’s great travel experiences. In the smart southern city, you can extend your experience with a holiday package to the Barossa Valley, fascinating Kangaroo Island, or an expertly-curated tour of this food and wine loving capital.


3 Day/2 Night Kangaroo Island Holiday

An early morning pick-up from your hotel for a scenic coach transfer to Cape Jervis taking in the picturesque Fleurieu Peninsula with its vineyards, coastal views and rolling hills. On arrival, board the SeaLink ferry for the 45-minute crossing to Penneshaw on Kangaroo Island. Here you will collect your hire car from Budget Rent-A-Car Kangaroo Island inside the Penneshaw SeaLink Ferry Terminal then begin to explore Kangaroo Island at your leisure.

Kangaroo Island is over 155km in length and 55km wide and is Australia’s third largest Island boasting some of SA’s most stunning beaches. Take in the spectacular coastal scenery, scenic landscapes, and fantastic National Parks. Whilst Kangaroo Island is much celebrated for its wildlife, its food, wine and local produce are integral parts of the Kangaroo Island experience. Taste organic honey and sample honey products from the Island’s famous Ligurian Bee. Take a guided tour through the stages of distillation at Emu Ridge Eucalyptus Distillery, the only commercial distillery still in operation in South Australia. Enjoy some of Kangaroo Island’s fine, home grown and award-winning wines and take in the stunning scenery surrounding the vineyards and cellar doors. Sip on the gins, vodkas, and liqueurs at KI Spirits, made using native Australian Botanicals and locally grown or sourced ingredients.

Explore the wonders of this great Island such as the Seal Bay Conservation Park where you can join a guided beach tour with an experienced Park Ranger and walk amongst a colony of rare and wild Australian sea lions – a truly amazing and unforgettable experience (own expense). Visit Flinders Chase National Park, a sanctuary for native Australian wildlife including kangaroos, wallabies, koalas and echidnas. DAY 01

ADELAIDE AND THE GREAT SOUTHERN

As the train leaves Adelaide, take your time to settle in and get familiar with your cabin. Enjoy morning tea and then savour a relaxed lunch on board while watching the ever-changing landscape glide by. In the afternoon, the train will arrive in regional Victoria where you’ll have a chance to experience the spectacular wilderness of the Grampians region. Choose from a range of Off Train Experiences (final experiences to be confirmed).

DAY 02

CANBERRA

Today is yours to spend in Australia’s political and cultural capital, Canberra. After breakfast on board, enjoy a scenic coach ride to Canberra to experience a truly memorable lunch and immersive touring at your pick of cultural institutions, including the National War Memorial, National Gallery of Australia and Parliament House, before returning to the train in time for dinner. Enjoy another sumptuous dinner on board before retiring to the lounge for a nightcap.

DAY 03

COFFS HARBOUR AND SURROUNDS

Choose your own adventure today with a variety of options to suit your fitness level and interests. Opt for the Boardwalk to Beach excursion, stopping at the small station of Urunga to take in the spectacular coastline views and Great Dividing Range along the Urunga Boardwalk before travelling to Coffs Harbour for a relaxing morning wandering around the Harbourside Markets, historic jetty or simply relaxing by the seaside.

The Coffs Explorer experience travels up to Sealy Lookout offering views for miles from the Forest Sky Pier before travelling back to Coffs for time to explore the markets, historic jetty or relax by the beach. Otherwise, simply make the most of Coffs Harbour’s beautiful beaches with an entire morning spent seaside. Wander along the coast, have a dip in the ocean, explore the markets or simply relax on the sand.

After your Coffs Harbour morning, enjoy a final lunch on board with your fellow travellers before arriving into Brisbane.


Indian Pacific | Sydney – Perth

DAY 01

SYDNEY

Your transcontinental adventure begins in Sydney where you board the Indian Pacific. Prepare for a journey of contrasts, from lush vineyards to vast goldmines, majestic mountains to the barren expanse of the Nullarbor, from cities of four million to ghost towns of four.  As the train winds through the breathtaking Blue Mountains, explore the comforts of life onboard, get acquainted with your cabin and fellow travellers. After settling in, savour your first meal – a regionally-inspired dinner paired with all-inclusive fine wines and beverages.  After dinner, join fellow guests for a late night drink or head back to your cabin for your first night onboard.

DAY 02

BROKEN HILL, BAROSSA VALLEY AND ADELAIDE SURROUNDS

You arrive in the ‘Silver City’ of Broken Hill as the day begins, where you embark on a morning of Off Train Excursions to discover the mining history and artistic culture of this unique town where the streets are wide and there’s a pub on every corner.  Lunch is served onboard as the Indian Pacific enters the southern tip of the spectacular and ancient Flinders Ranges. Arriving in the city of Adelaide in the afternoon, you have the choice of a tour of the city, a visit to the world famous Barossa Valley or McLaren Vale wine regions (seasonal), or a trip to the beautiful Adelaide Hills featuring the culinary delights of Hahndorf.

DAY 03

NULLARBOR PLAIN

You’ll awake to the seemingly endless expanse of the Nullarbor Plain. Breakfast is served as you travel along the longest stretch of straight railway track in the world. This evening, your sense of wonder will be ignited as you enjoy the tranquillity of dinner under the brilliant desert stars in the remote and beautiful Rawlinna (seasonal).

DAY 04

PERTH

Breakfast is served as you glide through the mild skies and cool green vales of the Avon Valley on your way to Perth, arriving after an onboard lunch.
