No trip of NSW would be complete without a visit to the Hunter Valley, the oldest wine region of Australia. Spend 2 leisurely nights here and absorb the gorgeous scenery that abounds whilst tasting fine local produce paired with famed wines from the region. The foodie experiences continue with cheese tastings at Hunter Belle in Muswellbrook; free time to browse the Mudgee Fine Foods Farmers’ Market; tastings at a cider brewery featuring a spread of local produce in Orange; and an outstanding finale onboard a dinner cruise sailing through Sydney Harbour, the world’s most spectacular harbour!

Not only will you experience mouth-watering epicurean moments, this tour will show you rich sides of Australian history! Visit the Royal Flying Doctor Service in Dubbo and hear the many touching stories; stop at the CSIRO Parkes Radio Telescope Visitor’s Centre famous for its pivotal role in the moon landing; and step back in time at the Henry Parks Museum and admire its collection of vintage cars, memorabilia and its Elvis Presley exhibit.

Itinerary:

Day 1 / Sydney - Hunter Valley

Welcome to your New South Wales Adventure! The tour departs at 10am from the Sydney Harbour Marriott. Pre-nights in Sydney are available for purchase. Depart Sydney and travel to the Hunter Valley. HUNTER VALLEY Welcome lunch with wine pairing at Peterson House, home to the largest array of sparkling wines. Afterward, enjoy a delicious tasting of local chocolates. This evening is at leisure. Day 2 / Hunter Valley

Full day at leisure to explore the "Hunter", known as the birthplace of Australian wines. Your centrally located resort gives you prime access to the Hunter Valley Gardens, several cellar doors, restaurants, cafes and shops. Your Tour Director is on hand to make sure you make the most of your stay. ENHANCE YOUR FREE TIME in Hunter Valley with a full or half day tour to the region's best vineyards. Day 3 / Hunter Valley - Muswellbrook - Scone - Mudgee

Travel past scenic countryside, rolling hills and through the "Horse Capital of Australia". MUSWELLBROOK Tour and cheese tasting at Hunter Belle. SCONE Heritage walk followed by free time. MUDGEE Dinner is served at a local restaurant featuring regional wine.

Day 4 / Mudgeee - Dubbo

MUDGEE (Local Favourite) Spend the morning at the Mudgee Fine Foods Farmers' Market. There's time to grab a coffee and local treat, listen to local musicians as you browse the large range of stalls, and have the chance to chat with the local food producers. DUBBO Learn about life and medical services in the Outback at the Royal Flying Doctor Service. The remainder of the day is at leisure. This evening, you may wish to attend an optional visit to the Dubbo Observatory Tower for a chance to view the stars, planets, and vast night sky. NOTE: The April 13 and July 13 departures will visit the Old Dubbo Gaol instead of the Royal Flying Doctor Service. At this 19th century prison, explore what life was like, hear about daring escapes, learn about the heritage of the site, and enjoy immersive displays and theatrical performances. Upgrade your visit to Dubbo and "Wake up in the Wild" - Tour PWZ: Here's your chance to experience a slice of Africa with an overnight stay at the Taronga Western Plains Zoo. Your lodge is positioned right beside a stunning savannah, home to giraffes, rhinos, zebra and antelope. Your overnight here includes entrance to the zoo, afternoon and morning safari, accommodation in an Animal View Lodge, dinner and breakfast. It is sure to be an unforgettable experience! Your zoo lodge includes private en-suite, air-conditioning, coffee/tea making facilities, mini-bar, and a shaded verandah with outdoor furniture.

Day 5 / Dubbo - Parkes - Orange

PARKES Visit the CSIRO Parkes Radio Telescope Visitor's Centre, famous for its part in the 1969 Apollo 11 Moon landing and the subject of the Australian film, The Dish. There is also time to take in a show at the Centre's 3D theatre. Later, visit the Henry Parks Museum, which pays tribute to Parke's past with classic cars, antiques, a moat cottage, and even Elvis Presley memorabilia. ORANGE Travel through the rolling hills of the Orange region, home to acclaimed vineyards, lush orchards, boutique shopping and excellent restaurants. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant this evening.

Day 6 / Orange

ORANGE Morning at leisure. (Local Favourite) This afternoon, a local guide gives you a taste of the region's agricultural side with an experience at a working cattle and sheep station, a visit to an agricultural research station, and a tasting at a cider brewery featuring platters of locally produced foods. The remainder of the day is at leisure to explore on your own. Your Tour Director will have suggestions for additional sightseeing, shopping, and dining.

Day 7 / Orange - Bathurst - Blue Mountains - Sydney

BATHURST Visit the Mt Panorama Lookout for amazing views. BLUE MOUNTAINS Enjoy morning tea at Bygone Beautys Teapot Museum and Tearoom followed by a short walk to see the iconic Three Sisters. Continue to Sydney. SYDNEY Join your Tour Director and travel companions for a festive farewell dinner cruise on Sydney Harbour. Enjoy a 3-course chef designed menu featuring seasonal and regionally sourced ingredients, served alongside wines from some of New South Wales' most prestigious wine regions. The perfect ending to your holiday!

Day 8 / Sydney

Your holiday ends with breakfast this morning. You may also choose to extend your time in Sydney and explore more on your own. Extra nights are available for purchase.
