Our journey begins not in Italy, but in Monte Carlo, a city dripping in glitz and glamour. Then we’re off to Genoa, nicknamed la Superba (“the Superb one”), and it’s no wonder with its glorious past and outstanding landmarks. Your next stop is Santa Margherita. Use this stop as a stepping stone to nearby Portofino or lose yourself in the scenic city and its stunning 16th century fortress before setting sail to Portovenere, considered the sixth village along the breathtaking Cinque Terre, for a late stay. Stroll along winding cobblestone streets to San Pietro Church, which sits upon a site that’s believed to have once been a temple to Venus.

Next, an overnight in Livorno awaits, putting you at the gateway of Florence’s classics with tons of time to take them in. The next morning, experience the town of Portoferraio on the Italian island of Elba (where Napoleon was once exiled), before setting off to our final stop, Rome. There’s no better place to say ciao bella than the Eternal City, where you might want to stay awhile before heading home.

Start your voyage in vibrant Rome aboard our new Azamara Onward℠ before embarking on an unforgettable journey along the stunning Amalfi and Dalmatian Coasts. First stop, Sorrento, where a scenic bus ride straight to the top of this cliffside is the perfect way to take in its sweeping coastal views. Dine al fresco surrounded by the scent of lemon and olive trees before your late departure.

After an overnight spent crossing the Ionian and Adriatic seas you’ll arrive at the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Kotor, a walled city dating back to Medieval times, for an intriguing late-night stay. Next, it’s off to Croatia, landing first at Dubrovnik where you can walk historic city walls that date back to the 9th century and discover the secrets of the city’s old town. Take advantage of your late night to enjoy all the medieval charm of this coastal city. Next, stroll the streets of Šibenik to see its many churches, fortresses, and charming shops and squares. A late stay means you can take it all in before returning to Venice for an enchanting overnight stay to enjoy people-watching in the Piazza San Marco, sampling Veneto wines, and shopping for everything from Murano glass to swathes of silk.
