Catalina Island Tour with Zip Line Experience
Head away from the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles and escape to an island paradise only an hour’s boat trip away. Marvel at the clear air and blue waters as you approach Santa Catalina Island before gearing up for the experience of a lifetime as you soar over canopies and through canyons on a zip line. Reaching speeds approaching 40 mph, admire the spectacular views and pause at various eco-stations along the way to learn about the unique aspects of Catalina’s wildlife and history. Located just 22 miles off the coast of Southern California, Catalina Island is a haven of tranquillity away from Los Angeles. Enchanting visitors for centuries with its combination of green forests and clear blue seas, over the years it has attracted smugglers and gold diggers as it changed hands from Spain to Mexico and eventually America. Experience the natural beauty of the island in the most fun way possible on the Zip Line Eco tour. You will travel close to three quarters of a mile over five consecutive zip lines at heights of 300 feet above the canyon floor at speeds pushing 40mph. Beginning at the Hog's Back gate, high in the hills near Avalon and descending through Descanso Canyon, you will pause at several eco-stations along the way before continuing on your journey. At each station, your hosts will give you a presentation on the history and nature of the areas you are passing through. Home to over 50 species found nowhere else on the planet, be sure to keep your eyes peeled for the incredible wildlife on Santa Catalina!
