With a bustling urban centre, Papeete feels more French than anywhere else in Tahiti. Here you’ll find the vibrant Municipal Market, known for it’s coffee, chocolate croissants, fresh produce and hand carved Tiki statues. Be sure to check out the waterfall that cascades about 300 mitres into a natural pool.

Moorea

The picture-perfect definition of an island in paradise. Also formed by volcanic activity, this heart shaped island has soft sandy beaches that look out to the brightest blue waters you’ll set your eyes on. It’s an incredible contrast with the tall, lush green peaks of the mountains. Experience traditional Polynesian dance at the Tiki Village and hike up to Belvedere Lookout for views of the famous Cook’s Bay, and Mount Tohivea. Snorkel the lagoon at Opunohu Bay or get up close and personal with the cutest and most intelligent sea creatures at Moorea Dolphin Center.

Bora Bora

Loosely translated from ancient Tahitian, Bora Bora means "created by the gods", which you’ll be sure to understand upon seeing this heavenly island. Vibrant coral reefs sitting below crystal-clear turquoise water surrounds the tiny islets around the main island. Relax in the silky-soft white sand of Matira Beach, and breathe in the fresh scent of Tiare Tahiti, the distinctive white gardenia that grows wild here. Dive or snorkel among the coral reef just off Sofitel Marara or hike iconic Mount Otemanu, the lushly forested extinct volcano at the center of the island.

Uninhabited and untouched by modern society, Mystery Island will make you believe it wouldn't be so bad to be a marooned sailor in an old storybook. It’s a step back in time, with no electricity, roads or telephones here. A comfortable 30-minute walk will take you on a self-guided tour of the entire island. Only accessible by cruise ship and the nearby inhabitants of Aneityum, you'll truly get to experience life on a deserted island. Cruise to Mystery Island and explore the white-sand shoreline and its warm waters – go for a snorkel and see an incredible underwater world untouched by human influence.
