Lonely Planet Experience - Bali Eat Street Local Food Tour
When the sun goes down the nightly food markets come out. Locals head to the local ‘Eat Street’ with friends and family, and on this food tour, we’re joining them at all their favourite spots! Throughout your tour, your guide will explain the food that is on offer and its traditions. Your food journey starts in the rice fields, then winds through the back streets of Bali in a fully restored 1980 VW Kombi limo. Our first stop will be a local roadside warung (café) famous for its babi guling (rotisserie-cooked suckling pig). From there, it’s back into the VW Kombi and on to the largest local Eat Street in Bali! Your expert guide will escort you through the numerous warungs and stalls, picking out things for us to eat as we go. The street here is jam-packed with motorbikes and cars. It’s the hippest food spot in town! And it happens to be home to the yummiest soto ayam (chicken noodle soup) in the area - one of Indonesia’s famous national dishes.

Walking along the main street, you’ll learn about the different culinary influences on offer: Javanese, Sumatran, Sulawesi, Japanese and Thai/Indonesian fusion. You’ll learn about traditions like ikan and ayam bakar (barbecued fish and chicken typically enjoyed with beer and a side of music!). If you like spice, we can stop at a small place specialising in Japanese fusion, where there’s a chili challenge that goes up five levels to “inferno” with the world’s hottest chilies! If you need an energy boost, how about an energy-filled dessert, Indonesian-style! Believe it or not, it goes amazingly well with our favourite desert. This warung is famous for its dessert made from a crumpet-style batter cooked in an earthenware pot over hot coals. Choose from the top 10 list or design your own. The prices are cheap all long Eat Street, so we recommend picking up some extra treats.

Full Day Royal Lake & Sea Temple Tour
Relax on a scenic drive through Bali´s countryside. Admire the beauty and tranquility of Taman Ayun, the Royal Temple of Mengwi. Built in 1634, this impressive temple is Bali’s most sacred, surrounded by a wide moat which creates the sensation as if you are standing in the middle of the lake. Next, continue on to Bedugul. This pleasant mountain village is located on Lake Bratan and you will visit its Botanical gardens and fresh produce market. Due to its higher altitude and cooler weather, Bedugul is Bali’s agricultural centre for vegetables. Afterwards, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local retreat by the lake. Once you´ve satisfied your hunger, take a short walk to the lake shore and board a traditional boat (Jukung) for a short paddle to reach the Ulun Danu Temple. You will discover this magnificent water temple from a unique perspective as you gaze upon the temple standing proudly on the lake. Finish the day with a visit to the stunning Tanah Lot Temple. The temple is perched on a little rocky islet that is inaccessible during high tides.

Full Day Eat Pray Love Bali Private Tour
If you’ve ever seen or read Eat Pray Love, you’ll have felt tempted to visit Bali, otherwise known as the Island of the Gods. Not only is Bali full of beautiful flora and fauna, its deep spirituality lends it an atmosphere of magic around every corner. If you’re keen to explore past the tourist attractions and do a little soul searching, join us on this Eat Pray Love tour mimicking the footsteps of Elizabeth Gilbert in her memoir. We’ll start the day at Pura Sudamala, also known as the Holy Water Temple. As one of the holiest places in Bali, this location is well-loved by locals and lesser-visited by tourists. It’s the ideal place to escape the crowds and feel at one with yourself during a holy bathing ritual at the Spring Water Temple. During this unique ceremony, you will wash in the holy waters and pray as the locals do. Next, we’ll continue the soul searching as we visit a sacred Balinese healer. Locals believe that this gift is given to certain members of the community who then dedicate their lives to the practice. Visitors from all over the world come to seek out their abilities. Whether you have a specific ailment or simply want to find peace, your local guide will act as a translator between you and the healer. Since no day in Bali would be complete without getting immersed in nature, we’ll swing by the Tegalalang Rice Terraces on the way home. Whether you gaze out over the greenery, snap photos or take a ride on a Bali swing, you’ll feel at one with nature by the time we transfer you back to your accommodation.

Full Day Lembongan Reef Cruise
Dive into the crystal waters of the alluring island of Nusa Lembongan, a tropical paradise located off the south-coast of East Bali where white-sandy beaches, mangroves and cliffs offer the perfect getaway for families, water sports enthusiasts and beach lovers alike. Step on a luxury catamaran, and escape the sounds of the city as you depart Benoa Harbour along the glistening waters to the pontoon at the tranquil Lembongan Bay. Admire Lembongan Island’s exotic marine life and colourful corals from the comfort of a semi-submersible coral viewer, or why not choose to explore the underwater world by going snorkelling in beautiful Lembongan Bay, or even try scuba diving! An experienced team of PADI diving Instructors will teach you how. Have fun in the sun as you sip a cocktail and top up your tan or join in a host of other activities - like unlimited banana boat rides, a cultural tour of the island or the exciting 35-metre waterslide. After you've worked up an appetite, feast on a delicious buffet served in air-conditioned comfort.
