Natural wonder, native culture, and new immersive experiences are yours to discover as we set sail on an intensive journey around verdant New Zealand to the vibrant shores of Australia. Departing from Auckland on the North Island, we begin with an overnight sail to the Bay of Islands, a stunning region that is home to the Māori indigenous people. Then, it’s on to Tauranga, where you’ll have lots of time to relax in thermal pools and learn even more about the Māori before ending setting sail for a late-night stay in Napier, where you’ll swear you’ve stepped back in time to the Roaring Twenties with its Art Deco style.

Our next three days will be enjoyed sightseeing and taking in the breathtaking views of Wellington on a late-night visit, followed by plenty of shopping for one-of-a-kind pieces in the artist’s haven of Nelson on another late-night stay, then tasting your way through the legendary wines of the Marlborough region in Picton on the South Island.

Our in-depth exploration of New Zealand continues in Christchurch. Known as ‘The Garden City,’ this decidedly English-inspired city is a stunning mix of quaint architecture and world-renowned food and beverage scene, so take your time getting to know the sights, sounds and tastes of this exciting destination. After our overnight stay in the ‘Edinburgh of the South,’ Dunedin, we will sail through the spectacular Milford Sound followed by two relaxing days at sea en route to historically charming Hobart, Tasmania. A sight for sore eyes, the stunning natural surround of this port’s many beaches, parks, and mountains are worth exploring during our late stay here, along with its eclectic art scene.

One more full day at sea brings us to the Sapphire Coast for a visit to Eden, Australia, a ruggedly beautiful paradise full of fresh seafood and stunning views. Lastly, we reach Sydney, our final destination, where the choice is yours to stay and explore this spectacular city.

Get ready to dive into adventure down under with 13 incredible nights cruising the Great Australian Bight from Sydney to Perth with Azamara. Beginning with the Sydney Opera House as your backdrop, take some time to marvel at sophisticated Sydney before setting sail for metropolitan Melbourne—with a day at sea in between to get acquainted with all the services and amenities onboard Azamara Quest®.

With a late stay in Melbourne, wander to take in the restored 19th-century architecture—including the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Royal Exhibition building—plus interconnected arcades and laneways, filled with vibrant street art, boutiques, restaurants and cafés. Next up is another late night in Portland. Take a walk along the picturesque waterfront to view the city's original architecture, including buildings that date back as early as 1845. Take another day at sea to indulge at one of our specialty restaurants, then we hop over to Kangaroo Island for yet another late night, where a world of wildlife awaits, including koalas, platypus, ring-tailed possums, birds, and 45 plant species found nowhere else on Earth.

Ahh Adelaide, with plenty of time to explore thanks to an extra-late stay, relish the foodie scene and immerse yourself in Aboriginal history and culture in this leafy, cosmopolitan city on the south coast. Two more days at seas follow, perfect for spending night’s taking in the Broadway-calibre entertainment on board. Next, it’s on to Esperance—home of Cape Le Grand National Park—followed by a stop in Albany to view its beautiful Victorian architecture and a late stay in Margaret River to explore this renowned wine region.

Our journey ends with an overnight in Perth, but the adventure doesn’t have to. Once considered a backwater town, Perth is now at the vanguard of cool, with cutting-edge art, miles of stunning beaches, and a culture that’s both relaxed and impatient for the future.
